Today we finished up the Renaissance with a brief jaunt through the life of Henry the VIII ( Henry-VIII-and-the-Reformation-in-England)


We watched a hilarious History Bites episode from Lera, Claire, Melissa, Michaela, and Krisztina.


It has been an absolute honour to teach you all.  Block A has been the best part of my day.  Please send me pictures of you all dressed up for grad


It is really important to check the school website or this website Sunday and Monday to see if there is a final exam on Tuesday.  Failure to make the exam because you are informed is not a good excuse.

Today was our last day in the library.  Alex, Kevin, and Kevin’s dad gave a demonstration on weapons through the ages, culminating in a mock melee.  So much fun.


A reminder that tomorrow is a strike day, so we will continue in our classroom on Thursday.  All assignments must be handed in by Friday, June 13 to be included in your final mark.

Today we were in the library working on our term project and our Renaissance project.


Tomorrow, we will also be in the library.  All projects must be handed in no later than Friday.

Today we wrote the Middle Ages unit test.

Group projects are due on Monday.

Monday and Tuesday, please meet in the library.


There is no school tomorrow because if teacher job action.

Today’s test was postponed because of the student walkout.


So plan b was a beginning of the Renaissance (slides 1-13, 48-50).


For the Renaissance, you can either pick one of the projects from the list of unit assignments or do the following


Choose a person (living or dead / famous or not famous / not a fictional character) and write a 2-3 page typed essay explaining why this person is a Renaissance Person.  You must include a bibliography.
